About Henna
Henna comes from a plant of the privet family. Henna has been known for centuries for its superb hair conditioning and coloring properties. No other substance, whether natural or synthetic, will strengthen the hair and give it shine as effectively as HENNA.
Henna contains "lawsonia." This substance provides the well known conditioning and coloring properties associated with our Henna Powders. Henna Powder colors the hair in two ways: By penetration and by staining. Henna molecules have a chemical affinity with keratin (hair) molecules, and thus the pigment can pass freely into the hair. The penetration of lawsonia imparts both color and condition into the hair and it closes and strengthens the outer cuticle of the hair, thus giving a superb shine and conditioning effect, which is the unique feature of Henna!
Important: Always Perform a Harvested Hair Test!!
Henna products are not compatible with many chemically based hair products. It is recommended that you always do a harvested hair test with all henna hair products. Since most people have treated their hair in the past with some sort of chemicals or may use a conditioner or shampoo that leaves build up on the hair, it is important that you always harvest hair from you comb or brush and apply the henna paste to the harvested hair and note results to the harvested hair, prior to applying henna products to the hair on your head. The results you obtain in the harvested hair test is exactly what will occur to the hair on your head. So always harvest hair and test first.
Because it is impossible for us to know and/or control the history of hair treatment of our customers, we cannot accept responsibility for hair color and other unexpected results you may obtain from use of henna products on your hair. It is advised that you always perform the harvested hair test as your aid to understanding the outcome of application of your choice of henna product to your hair. Understand your own hair history and make your decision whether to use a henna product on your hair responsibly.
